Another beautiful sunset looking along the valley.

69 DAYS

It looked like a beautiful sunset but

it was still 3.30 in the afternoon.
This was caused by smoke and ash from the bushfires.
After 69 days the fires have been declared

'safe' !

Spent a little time today with the Sculpey and came up with cupcakes and choc chip biscuits for the grandchildren to play with.

Gentle eyes that see so much,
paws that have the quiet touch,
Purrs to signal 'all is well'
and show more love than words could tell.

NATUREGIRL

NO ORDINARY BIRDS

I love seeing birds in my garden

and these are a couple of not so ordinary

birds

that inhabit my patch of earth.

This is the magnificent ' bird of paradise'

or strelitzia regineae.

Their flowering season has just finished.

This is my special favourite called

'paradise bird'.

Rescued from a thrift shop

he now graces a shady spot beneath the

clivias.

BRONZE WING DOVE

No ordinary dove.

Don't you just love the mosaic wings.

Nature is so full of colour

and surprises
